Cabin consign fees, in plain English
Payouts at the Cabin are net to you. The published tiers live on the consign page rate table — this guide explains what that means so fee anxiety does not kill the call before it starts. No surprise-cut theater. No second rate card pretending to be more current than the live page.
When you are ready: book the 15-minute consign call.
What “net to you” means
“Net to you” means the keep percentage is your share of the sold price for that listing band — not a mystery stack of fees invented after the fact. The consign page says it plainly: all payouts are net to you.
Comps and listing prices are not a back-room surprise either. Per the consign page: comps come from VCP, 130point, CardLadder, and eBay sold — the rate table is the floor, not a surprise.
If this guide and the live table ever disagree, trust the consign page.
How the tiers work
Tiers are listing bands. A bulk lot under a small price point lands in one band; an individual listing in another; higher sold-price bands keep a larger share. That is the whole idea — read the band, know the keep %.
Current tiers, as published on the consign page (checked Sept 27, 2026):
| Listing | You keep |
|---|---|
| Bulk lots under $5 | 80% net |
| Individual listings $5–$200 | 80% net |
| $200–$999.99 | 90% net |
| $1,000.00 and up (final sold price) | 96% of gross sale price — we only keep 4% |
Treat that table as the floor. Do not treat this guide as a frozen spreadsheet. Check the current rates on the consign page.
Payout timing and methods
Money does not land the same week every card sells. Per the consign page: paid out the first week following the end of each calendar month.
Payout methods: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, check by mail, in-person payout, or store credit with a bonus.
If you need cash this week, the consign monthly clock may be the wrong tool — compare paths in Consign, list it yourself, or sell the box instead of forcing the Cabin into a buyout promise we do not make here.
Store credit with a bonus
Store credit is an option, not a trap. The consign page offers payout as store credit with a bonus on top. The consign page does not publish a bonus percentage, so this guide does not quote one. Ask for the bonus math on the call.
Unsold items and return shipping
Unsold is not an infinite storage ding. Per the consign page: If an item doesn’t sell, you cover return shipping or we can relist it at no extra cost.
That is the fork. Relist at no extra cost, or send it back with return shipping on you. No invented warehouse fees in this guide.
What we decline (cost of a bad fit)
Catalog fit matters. Per the consign page: we reserve the right to decline anything that doesn’t fit our catalog; declined items ship back at your expense, or you can donate them. Talk-first exists so a bad fit gets caught before labels — that sequence is How mail-in consignment works at the Cabin.
We will say when another lane is honest. Ultra-modern SP/parallel volume and Pokémon are a different shop’s problem; the Cabin stays vintage / inherited-collection honest. A clean no beats a box that never moves.

Two-box honesty (capacity, not a fee)
Not a fee tier — but it affects when your next box can move. Per the consign page: one box in-house, one in transit or scheduled. No third booking until a box is processed. Keeps listings moving and payouts on the monthly clock instead of burying your stack in someone else’s backlog.
Still unsure? Book the call
Fees are published. Meaning is above. The live table stays on consign.
Consign at the CabinTalk first. Do not ship until it fits. Numbers live on the consign page. This page is the anxiety killer, not a second rate card.
